    Paul Brejcha
    VR&E Program Support Assistant
    402.420.4343

  2. Ask Paul Brejcha to whom the VRE case will be assigned. Current VA-VRE Staff are listed on VRIS under ‘Directories’.
  3. Contact the VA-VRE staff member assigned to coordinate services. If the veteran is eligible for VRE services and VRE staff agree with the VR/Client IPE they will likely help pay for necessary services.

Staff from Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and VA-VRE will work collaboratively in serving veterans who are eligible for both programs prepare for, obtain, and retain employment..

Medical and vocational information will be shared between both agencies when needed.

Both agencies prepare written plans with the veteran. These will be provided to the other agency when needed.

When both agencies and the veteran agree on a plan the VA-VRE will pay for many of the services needed.

VA-VRE will make referrals to VR for assistance with job placement for veterans they are working with. VA-VRE will provide medical information and a copy of the veteran's written plan. VR staff will agree to the VA-VRE/client written plan and proceed with job placement unless there are serious concerns.
