To identify VR’s policy on paying for services when the consumer does not show up for an appointment.

Interpreters

Per NDE’s Administrative Memorandum #112, when less than 24 hours notice of cancellation is given to an interpreter, the interpreter may bill the two-hour minimum or 50% of that day's assignment whichever is greater. It is understood that if the interpreter accepts any other assignment from any other source during the period covered by the canceled assignment, he/she may not bill for more than the two-hour minimum.

Medical Appointments

For missed medical appointments, VR will pay –

  • Only if the provider traveled away from their office for the appointment;
  • No more then the fee for 1 hour of service.
