  1. Review IPE. Review the services and employment goal with the client or as appropriate, the client’s representative either in a face to face meeting or via the telephone to determine whether satisfactory progress is being made towards the goal. If satisfactory progress has not been made determine the Corrective Action that will be taken to correct the problems. Document the Corrective Action in writing to the client or as appropriate, the client’s representative.
  2. Offer the client the opportunity to voluntarily participate in the cost of his/her plan of service.
  3. Change IPE. Determine whether any amendments or changes need to be made to the IPE job goal and/or services with the client, or as appropriate the client’s representative.

The Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) is to be reviewed at least annually to assess progress toward achieving the job goal.

The annual review is mandated by law and regulation. The review cannot be waived by either the client or the agency.

There is a 90 day time period within which the annual review must be conducted, beginning 60 days before the anniversary date of IPE approval and ending 30 days after the anniversary date.

The opportunity to voluntarily participate in the cost of services over the next 12 months should be offered during the Annual Review.
