VRIS Update 442
SUMMARY OF UPDATES
The OJE/OJT timesheets have been combined into just one timesheet. There is place to designate on the form whether it’s an OJE or an OJT. Othere changes to the form/process are:
A. Regardless of whether it’s an OJT or an OJE, the timesheet must now be sent to the VR office and signed by a specialist before submitted to Central Accounting.
B. The form will only allow a Monday date to be entered as the beginning date of the pay period, as we are required to follow the State’s bi-weekly pay period. If the consumer starts working within the week, you must still enter Monday’s date as the start date of the pay period, and then enter hours beginning with the day the consumer started work.
This change is effective for all OJTs started after the date of this VRIS Update. Be sure to alert the State OJT worksite of this change to avoid time sheets being sent directly to NDE Accounting and delaying the client’s payment.
2. The VRIS Update #422-OJE/OJT Community Assessment Chapters was sent on 4/10/15. The chapter indicated the Training Report for OJTs and OJEs were to be completed by VR staff or job coaches. Supervisors within job sites should not be completing the training reports. Due to an oversight, the OJE and OJT letters were not updated to reflect the change at that time. The OJE and OJT letters have now been updated.
