SUMMARY OF UPDATES:

The Self Employment chapter has been updated to reflect the new process.   

Checklists: 
Checklist 1 describes VR Specialist responsibilities;  
Checklist 2 describes VR Self Employment Specialist responsibilities;  
Checklist 3 describes VR Self Employment Program Specialist responsibilities.  

The Process Section describes the process and guidelines for a client entering Self Employment.

The Policy Section remains the same.  

Six (6) new forms have been added to replace any old forms.

Six (6) new forms were added:  

Self Employment Questionnaire (print);
Self Employment Questionnaire (data entry);
Self Employment Feasibility Referral;
Self Employment Personal Finance Worksheet;
Self Employment Advantages;
Self Employment Green Flags/Red Flags;  
Self Employment Rates & Provider.
The Equipment form is also found in the chapter.

MONITORING REQUIREMENTS:

Program Directors of Counseling, Employment and Community Services will review referrals to feasibility and business plan as the new process is implemented.  Case reviews will be done.
