SUMMARY OF UPDATES

The new WIOA regulations require Nebraska VR to begin collecting additional data from clients. Three new WIOA screens have been added to QE2 to aid in collecting this data:

These three screens will be required on all clients exiting VR after IPE approval.  This affects all IPE’s approved that are active cases in QE2 on February 15, 2017.

This new data will not be required for clients who terminate before IPE approval.

TRAINING DATES:

Four videoconference training sessions will be held over the next two weeks to introduce staff to the new WIOA Data Elements that go into effect 2/15/2017. All staff who work with consumers should plan to attend one of these training sessions as everyone will be required to gather this information from the clients we work with.

Wednesday, January 11: 11 am – 12 noon

Thursday, January 12: 1-2 pm

Wednesday, January 18: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Thursday, January 19: 1-2 pm

FORMS:

  1. Lists of all approved IPE’s dated before 1/9/2017 from QE2 will be provided to each of team during the training over the next two weeks.

QE2 UPDATE

The following three screens will be available on each client who has Applied for VR.

TO DO:

If you have cases that need to be terminated please close these cases before February 15, 2017 as after that date the new data elements at IPE approval will be required of these cases.

TEAM COMMUNICATION

Office Directors should make sure that all staff understand the new data elements that will need to be collected and encourage all staff to attend one of these training videoconferences.
