Summary of Changes

  1. Changes will go into effect on Monday, April 16, 2018.
  2. Changes were made to the types of "Present Employment Status" that is identified on the Application and entered on the Basic Information Screen. Additionally we are now required to report the job the client has at IPE Approval. The IPE Determination will ask you to update the Employment History Screen with the job the client has at IPE approval. This may require the information to be updated on the Basic Information Screen if different than at application.
  3. New Highest Level of Education options have also been added to the application and are now entered on the WIOA IPE Data Screen and updated on WIOA Measurable Skills Gain Data Screen as appropriate. 
  4. Medical/Health Insurance at Application options were revised.
  5. The Termination Choices available when terminating a case have been updated and several new choices are available.
  6. New Services have been added to QE2 and many existing services have revised definitions. 

These changes are as a result of new Federal Reporting requirements.

QE2 Update

  1. Basic Information Screen "Present Employment Status" choices were changed.
  2. Basic Information Screen "Medical/Health Insurance" choices were revised.
  3. New Education Choices from the application are now entered on the WIOA IPE Data Entry screen.
  4. The VR and Self Termination Milestones  have been changed to reflect new options.
  5. New services have been added and definitions revised. Authorization instructions that were included in the Assessment Services and Supports chapter have been moved to this chart.

To Do

At the time of the Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) approval you will be given a message to update the Employment History screen if the client has a job at IEP Approval. If the client is working at IPE approval you must enter the job in the Employment History and update the "Present Employment Status" on the Basic Information Screen. We now are required to report work status at IPE Approval.

Training Opportunity

A videoconference to discuss the new changes that affect each of these chapters and QE2 will be held Thursday, April 12 11:45-12:00 noon (or right after Expense Reimbursement training) and Friday, April 13, 11:30-12:00.

Team Communication

Office Directors, please discuss these changes at your Team Meetings. It's very important that when we approve IPE's we are checking if the client is working and updating the Employment History and Basic Information Screens. Share the new Termination choices and the revised Selecting a Service in QE2 as there are new services and services with revised definitions.
