Summary of Changes

The updated 2018 Title XVI (SSI) and Concurrent (SSI/SSDI) Benefits Orientation guides that include the new 1616b threshold amount are not posted on VRIS, replacing the 2017 versions; links are found below.

NE DHHSis also now requiring a new Release of information that must be signed by the person (on the first and second pages.). The form is filled out with pre-populated information so that it is completed consistently, noting the information to be released.  There are English and Spanish versions of the form.

Ensure that updated Benefits Orientation guides are used; old copies should be destroyed/archived.

Ensure that the new Release of Information is used so that information can be released by DHSS to the Benefits Services agency.  Note that the form must be signed in two placed--p. 1 and p. 2.

Please review this change in a team meeting to ensure that everyone who must use the new forms/follow new processes by getting release signed are reminded of the change.
