Summary of Changes

Updated terms:

• Supported Employment terms: Individualized and Customized, rather than Crew/Enclave and Transitional Placement.
• Authorized Representative, rather than guardian

 Updated process: An IPE Amendment is required to be signed by the client and as appropriate authorized representative for ALL IPE Amendments. 

• When client takes a job that is different than the job goal on the IPE: Obtain client agreement and signature (including parent or authorized representative, as appropriate) on the form. If the client does not sign and return the form to show agreement,  the IPE Amendment cannot be completed. As a result, you cannot take a successful case closure when the SOC Codes do not match just by documenting your attempts to obtain the signature. No client signature on the IPE Amendment = No successful closure.

QE2 Update

When asked if you have obtained the client's signature on the IPE Amendment and the answer is NO, the approval button will not be available. A message will show indicating no approval is possible and a task note explaining your attempts to obtain a signature should be entered.  Client signature and as appropriate authorized representative is required to show agreement. NO signature = NO Amendment.

Office Directors please review this policy update with your team so everyone understands signatures are ALWAYS required on an IPE and IPE Amendment.
