Summary of Changes

Cleaned up the process to follow.

If the individual indicates he or she would like to register or re-register to vote, on the application, during the annual review or notifies Nebraska VR of an address change, staff must provide the individual the following options to register to vote:

Provide a copy of the Voter Registration Disclaimer when mailing a Nebraska Voter Registration Application.

NOTE: If YES or NO is not checked on the application, please follow up to obtain a YES or NO. Should the individual decline, you must still offer a copy of the Voter Registration Application and the Secretary of State's website.

Forms - New or Revised

Revised: Voter Registration Application- The application now has a number located in the lower left hand corner Source: T1219. This number is assigned to Nebraska VR so the Secretary of State can track what agency the Voter Registration Applications are coming from.

New: Voter Registration Disclaimer-This form is to be attached to the Voter Registration Application when mailed.

QE2 Update

QE2 will ask during the Application, Annual review and any “Address Line 1” changes for the client’s address: Did the applicant request assistance to register to vote? Yes or No. (Note: If you update the city or zipcode, but the “Address Line 1” remains the same, you will not be forced to answer the voter assistance questions.):
